I recently took the plunge and started purchasing small amounts of Bitcoin. I've been using Coinbase to make all of my purchases but with all the threads popping up and disappearing lately about Coinbase sporadically canceling orders I wanted to find an alternative. I don't currently do any trading (but would like to experiment with that in the future, so website suggestions for that would be appreciated as well) and I'm not sure what alternatives are out there for someone in the United States.

Also I'd like to get a different wallet to put all my Coinbase coins into in case they try to randomly lock my account like other users have been reporting. Suggestions for a wallet would be helpful.
