So my story:

I bought a large quantity of BTC in the early days (bit over than 1000). Being somewhat of a gold bug and a geek and a crypto-nerd I immediately saw the potential. I wish I would have bought more but I was struggling financially at the time. Let's just say that I stopped buying when the prices hit two digits.

I haven't sold anything till now, and I don't want to because I believe that this system has tremendous potential. However I need some money for personal reasons. I want to sell a few hundreds of coins. My problem is that:

-I don't live in first world country, but in a place known for its shady fiscal policies towards people who likes to hide money ( relevant ). I am not a tax avoider or anything like this just a regular local who had the ill-luck of being born and bred here .

-last year I tried to get into another cryptocurrency. I couldn't even wire the money to the exchange because the intermediate bank in the US reversed the wire. The transaction was flagged just because of my country of origin. I understand the logic since I live in a country not known for its fiscal transparency but it sucks because I haven't committed any crime. My record is spotless. ( When I first bought my bitcoins the transaction wasn't flagged because bitcoin was under nobody's radar ).

-even better: I bought the coin on a famous exchange in japan that went bankrupt, so the paperwork is obviously hard to get. The only thing that plays in my favor is that the coins have been sitting in the same address(es) since those early days. Technically you could check that fact on any explorer and infer that the transaction was really small at the time it happened, so it's not like I am laundering millions for some narco in south america. Still, I feel like the concept of cryptographic proof will not go smoothly when I try to explain it to a 70-year old banker / tax guy :(.

-local bitcoins where I live is virtually non-existent. I could sell a few btc there but nowhere near the amount I need to sell ( in the hundreds). It wouldn't be safe anyway.

I thought that the best course of actions would be to arrange for a private sale – several ones to avoid any scam – but I have no idea where to start. Has anybody faced those issues? Any suggestion would be welcome.
