I never got on the Bitcoin train (oops) even though I've heard of since it pretty much began. I just never gave too much thought to money making activities.

Now I've met some people who all have Bitcoin, plus other currencies, and I've taken the time to learn more about it. I feel like it's a form of 'digital cash', works a lot like cash but you use it on the internet instead of a Western Union type service. From what I learned, I feel that the biggest hinderance to long term adoption will be government entities and unforseen security holes.

Bare any of this happening, which may be preventable to some extent if not completely because of the wealth already behind Bitcoin, I see Bitcoin only continuing to increase in value. So instead of having 20k sitting in a safety deposit box I figure why not park it in Butcoin? I would love to hear some community opinions about this!

I do understand there is no gaurentee and this is a highly volatile investment (surely in the short term).
