TL;DR: I now know why was bitcoin born and why it is needed. So, thanks to all the devs who created it and are working to enhance it.

I recently saw a documentary on Prime Video : "Inside Job" which was released in 2010 and it opened my eyes. It was about the financial crisis of 2008 after which Satoshi came up with the idea of bitcoin.

During 2008 to 2010, I was working as a web designer and recession had hit my country also, India, but I did not see lot of impact here. In fact my company was overloaded with projects during that time. And I was creating websites day in day out. I also got a promotion. So, I was under the impression that this financial crisis in USA was not that a big deal. I used to read and wonder how bad it could the financial situation be in USA but never thought lot about it until I saw that film.

The film outlined the no regulation policy of the government and greed of bankers that lead to the recession and so many people's life savings were destroyed. None of the banker was convicted and everyone got free. I got goose bumps and thanked that I am in a country where banks are tightly regulated. We have very strict regulations in the financial industry.

And it made me realise how important bitcoin is for all of us. So thanks to all the devs who created it and are working to enhance it.
