I see BCH and BTC as two completely different building blocks that will evolve into different systems. One has heavy blocks with light txs and the other light blocks with heavy txs. It's like they have different physical properties to build different foundations. I for one am really excited to see how this plays out for the sake of science.

I can say with almost certainty that BCH will not die off as the /r/btc community and big blockers in general are very excited about this. This hardfork is a split in ideology and while big blockers are a much smaller subset of the overall Bitcoin community, their beliefs are unwavering. This entrenchment and loyalty is critical for survival. In addition, there are many BTC use cases that have been priced out of the network. Things like https://eternitywall.it/ or timestamping data to the blockchain. Writing data to a blockchain is a wonderful use case and I would love for BCH to flourish because of it. Even Satoshi wrote data on the blockchain in the genesis block! Personally I don't plan on buying/selling anything, but I will consider buying BCH as a value trade if the price gets ridiculously low. Good luck to all of you, exciting times!
